Cultural and Economic changes under cross-national perspective

Laboratory for Comparative Social Research (LCSR NRU HSE) announces a call for the 4thInternational Annual Research Conference “ Cultural and Economic changes under cross-national perspective ”, which will take place from November 10, 2014 until November 15, 2014, in St. Petersburg. The conference aims at developing empirical quantitative comparative (cross-country and cross-regional) studies in social science. The deadline for application is  August 1, 2014.

Modes, Measurement, Modelling: Achieving Equivalence in Quantitative Research

The ESC working group on “Quantitative Methods in Criminology” (EQMC) and the ESA Research Network on “Quantitative Methods” (ESA RN21) welcome abstract submissions for presentations at the conference in Mannheim, Germany, 24-25 October 2014, hosted by Gesis – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences. The conference fee is 30 € for non-members and 20 € for ESA RN21/ EQMC members. Please email your abstracts to the corresponding session organizer Inna F. Deviatko (deviatko(at)aha.ru) as well as cc to henning.best(at)gesis.org by  15 August 2014 at the latest . Proposals should contain a title and an abstract of up to 200 words. You will be informed by August 31 regarding acceptance of the paper.

Call for LCSR Associate Researchers

he Laboratory for Comparative Social Research announces the next call for associate researchers. The main idea is to attract young scholars to work on their own projects under the guidance of the LCSR experts (Ronald InglehartEduard PonarinChristian Welzel). The successful candidates will be invited to present their research proposal at the Fourth International LCSR Conference. LCSR is looking for collaboration with everybody who is interested in the comparative quantitative research in the framework of the main Lab’s research fields:Subjective Well-being and Health;Tolerance, Nationalism, Migration, Religion.
